Dear UMASD School Board,
We believe that the school lunches being served currently are killing the health of our young students. If they cannot develop healthy eating habits here, than where can they? Ask yourselves, is processed junk really benefiting our students? The Wu-Tang lunch program keeps full flavored meals, at a decent price, and much healthier than the meals previously served here. The foods already served are extremely high in fat and sodium, two factors that can lead to obesity. If we change to this diet plan than kids can stay healthy and satisfied with their meals.
The budget for meals would remain at an even 3 dollars per entre. The foods are being replaced with fresher ones, with reduced fat. All meats will be grilled as well rather than fried. We also believe that using fresh fruits and vegetables is a key factor to making our lunch program successful. Toppings such as tomato sauces will be hand made, and pasta is no longer refined, we are switching to whole wheat.
There are tremendous benefits that our program gives to the school. After eating greasy and oily foods every day, the students are becoming less energetic, and a lot hungrier for more of these foods that are killing their bodies. Our food program, combined with some exercise, could help some of the students get back into shape, or reach the weight they want. It is also going to help prevent obesity, which is especially important because our generation of children is getting so unhealthy that we might not outlive our parents.
Not only is our program one of the least expensive, but it is also the best combination of health and taste. There are foods that all students would enjoy, and we incorporate all cultures such and Japanese, Mexican, and obviously American. The foods are delicious, the calories are low, and there is little to no fat in all the meals. The Wu-Tang lunch program is the way to go.
Thank You
Sincerely,
The Wu-Tang Clan
